We are proud to announce our collaboration with SFU Health Science students and UBC Library Services to enhance the accessibility of the A.R.T and Justice website. Our joint efforts aim to create a user-friendly platform that promotes the artistic contributions of incarcerated individuals while also increasing awareness of the positive impact of art on their lives and society at large.

The SFU Health Science students have been instrumental in helping us scan, organize, and catalogue art pieces created by incarcerated artists, including paintings, letters, poems, and booklets. They have also been updating our social media platforms, filming videos, and creating blogs to educate the public about the value of incarcerated artists’ contributions.

Our collaboration goes beyond website updates and social media presence. We are also exploring digital tools that can support art learning, community building, and digital literacy for incarcerated artists. Our aim is to break down barriers and create an inclusive platform that empowers incarcerated artists to showcase their talent and create a positive impact on society.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves creatively, and our collaboration with SFU Health Science students and UBC Library Services is a step towards making this a reality for incarcerated artists. We are grateful for their support and dedication to this project, and together, we are making a difference in creating a more just and equitable society.
